Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant based in Calgary, AB. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial statements. Key responsibilities include reconciling accounts, monitoring budgets, preparing payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting audits. Collaboration with internal departments to streamline financial processes is also a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements
  • Proficiency in accounts reconciliation, general ledger management, and budget monitoring
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or progress towards it preferred
  • Experience in the travel management or service industries is an asset
