Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insulation installation, working with various materials and mechanical systems to ensure energy efficiency and comfort in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with hand tools.

Duties

  • Install insulation materials in mechanical systems according to specifications and building codes.
  • Utilize caulking and sealing techniques to enhance insulation effectiveness.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine insulation requirements for specific projects.
  • Work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform routine inspections of installed insulation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with take-off onsite
  • Documentation of workdone

Experience

  • At least of 3 years experience as an Insulation Mechanic.
  • Experience with various mechanical systems including domestic water, steam lines, chilled water, Boilers, HVAC, Exhaust, tanks, pumps, chemical processing vessels etc.
  • Experience using various materials including fibreglass, mineral wool, rubber, ceramic blankets,
  • Experience using various finishing venture clad, PVC, Aluminum etc.
  • Familiarity with caulking techniques, pin guns and the use of hand tools is essential.
  • Detail oriented, quality-driven with good capentary skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willing to travel to job sites at various locations in the GTA, York, Durham, Peel and Hamilton regions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 36 per week
