Full-Time — 2-Month Contract (Possible Extension)

Stellar Roofing Inc. is hiring skilled installers for commercial/industrial metal building installation, including MBCI Double-Lok / Seam-Lok standing seam roofing, R-50 Energy Saver roof insulation, R-38 wall insulation, Z-girts, and metal siding panels.

This is a precision-focused, manufacturer-spec project. We need installers who can produce consistent, professional-quality work on PEMB-style metal buildings.

Responsibilities

Standing Seam Roofing

  • Install Double-Lok / Seam-Lok standing seam roof panels
  • Install sliding clips, back-up plates, thermal spacers, and panel fastenings
  • Complete eave, rake, ridge, and endlap assemblies exactly per manufacturer specifications
  • Install roof curbs, pipe boots, penetrations, closures, and trims
  • Operate mechanical seaming machines (90° & 180°) properly and safely

Energy Saver Insulation

  • Install R-50 multi-layer roof insulation (6" + 6" cavity + 3.25" overlay)
  • Install R-38 wall insulation (cavity + overlay)
  • Perform banding, strapping, vapor barrier handling, tensioning, and sealing

Metal Wall Installation

  • Install Z-girts / hat channels to structural members
  • Install pre-finished metal wall panels, trims, and flashings
  • Align wall panels for consistent module, reveals, and plumbness
  • Flash around doors, windows, corners, and transitions

General Responsibilities

  • Follow IFC drawings, manufacturer manuals, and site supervisor direction
  • Stage materials, plan panel runs, and assist with layout
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized worksite
  • Follow OHSA and fall protection safety rules
  • Work efficiently as part of a professional, tight-knit team

Requirements

Required Experience

  • 2-3+years installing standing seam metal roofing (Double-Lok, Seam-Lok, SSR, Ultra-Dek, etc.)
  • Experience with:
  • Z-girts / hat channel installation
  • Metal siding panel installation
  • PEMB-style metal building erection
  • Roof curbs, penetrations, closures, flashings
  • Mechanical seamers & manufacturer-specific details
  • Installing insulation systems under metal roofing
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings & manufacturer manuals

Required Certifications

  • Working at Heights (Ontario) – Mandatory
  • WHMIS 2015
  • OHSA Worker Awareness Training
  • Ability to follow Health & Safety Program and site rules

Bonus / Preferred Certifications

  • Boom Lift / Manlift (Elevated Work Platform) Certification
  • Telehandler (if experienced)
  • Health & Safety Awareness
  • First Aid/CPR
