Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Vancouver, BC office. The US Immigration Legal Assistant will support attorneys by preparing legal documents, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing immigration applications, maintaining organized client files, communicating with clients and stakeholders, and assisting with other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of legal principles, including knowledge in law and legal document preparation.
- Experience in administrative assistance and organization to support office and legal processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with tasks relevant to legal assistants, including file management and clerical responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in managing deadlines for multiple cases.
- Previous experience in immigration law or handling cross-border legal matters is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or certification as a legal assistant is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site and contribute to a team-focused environment.
