Immigration Case Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Immigration Case Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordinating immigration cases for our clients. You will work closely with immigration Consultants, Immigration Lawyer and Clients to ensure the efficient and timely processing of immigration applications. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of immigration laws and regulations, excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage immigration cases for clients, ensuring adherence to deadlines, requirements, and legal procedures.
- Collect and review necessary documentation from clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and draft immigration forms and supporting documents.
- Research immigration laws, regulations, and policies to stay updated and provide accurate information to clients.
- Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries related to immigration cases.
- Schedule appointments, interviews, and meetings with clients.
- Assist Immigration Consultants in preparing legal documents.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Prepare and submit immigration applications electronically or through traditional mail, following specific guidelines and procedures.
- Monitor and track the progress of immigration cases, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of any issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case activities, correspondence, and outcomes.
- Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and policies and communicate relevant updates to consultants and clients.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient functioning of the immigration practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant experience in the immigration industry; preference for candidates with coursework or certifications related to immigration.
- Strong financial analysis skills; candidates with accounting and finance are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional and empathetic demeanour when interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong research and analytical skills to interpret and apply immigration laws and policies.
- Fluency in the following languages (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an advantage but not required.
Compensation: $21/hr to start.
