THE ROLE
STRIVE Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to assist our client's accounting team on a 3-month temporary contract (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who enjoys maintaining accuracy and organization while supporting a busy accounting function in a well-established company.

Responsibilities

  • Process and code vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage payment runs, including EFTs and cheques, ensuring all approvals are in place.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized AP files and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Provide support to the finance team as needed during the contract term.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or other ERP/accounting systems is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within set timelines.
