About the Role:

As a CBRE Building Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for completing minor repairs in tenant and public spaces , ensuring all building services equipment is in good working order, completing inspections, and assisting at the loading dock and with event set-ups and take downs. The position demands flexibility and a high degree of organizational skills as well as strong attention to detail to manage a variety of priorities and changing deadlines. Flexible hours are required in this role with occasional weekends or evenings. This position reports to the Building Services Supervisor.

This job is part of the Property Management job function. They are responsible for operating buildings on behalf of a client or group.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in coordinating repairs and maintenance within the interior and exterior of the property. Follow-up upon completion of repairs and maintenance to ensure work has been completed to first-class expectations.
  • Coordinate planned and ad-hoc maintenance projects, meeting with contractors/vendors for project quoting and scheduling.
  • Coordinate departmental Work Authorization Permits for both annual and contractor access.
  • Perform inspections in common areas, vacant areas, multi-tenant floors, interior, exterior, roof top, vision glass and carpet cleaning.
  • Respond to and complete tenant and management requests for repairs, such as ceiling tile replacements, minor door repairs, washroom partition repairs, and soap dispenser replacement.
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of base building materials, such as ceiling tiles, ceiling grid, and carpet tiles.
  • Assist with Marketing event set-ups and take downs as well as building signage.
  • Assist with loading dock coverage if/when required.
  • Coordinate building services equipment preventative and incidental maintenance.
  • Embody and support Brookfield Properties' Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.
  • Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.
  • Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviours are unsafe.
  • Immediately report HS&E incidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions, and/or at-risk behaviors to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.
  • Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.
  • Participate in building evacuation exercises, drills, and emergency response.
  • Assist with irrigation system maintenance.
  • Train new team members in policies, procedures, processes, administration and governance.
  • Positively impact your team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED, Grade 12 equivalent and job-related experience.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in the use of power and hand tools.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair/fix a wide variety of issues.
  • Previous experience in a service environment would be considered an asset.
  • Basic mechanics and construction experience preferred.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, includingWord, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Superior organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
