Calgary, Alberta, Canada FDS Foundation Drilling Services Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

FDS Foundation Drilling Services – Delivering Certainty

At FDS Foundation Drilling Services, we pride ourselves on being a trusted partner to North America's leading foundation contractors. With a deep understanding of equipment, drilling tools, and site realities, we provide fast, high-quality, and hands-on service that helps our clients achieve outstanding results.

We're growing, and our Canadian workshop is at the heart of that success.

We're looking for an Operations Coordinator who will take ownership of workshop operations, quality standards, and team development at our Oro-Medonte facility. About the Role As Operations Coordinator (Canada), you'll oversee the daily workflow of our workshop — ensuring that tools and equipment are maintained, repaired, and ready for our customers' projects on time and to the highest standards. Due to the work load Our small team has the potential to grow. As the workshop expands, additional welders and technicians will be required under your supervision. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with operational structure — someone who wants to build processes, train people, and grow a highperforming team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and organize daily workshop operations, supervising staff (e.g., welders, yard personnel).

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures for tool inspection, maintenance, and repair.

• Ensure tool readiness — coordinate schedules and priorities for upcoming projects and deliveries.

• Support technical excellence by setting clear standards for welding, inspection, and reconditioning of tools and casings.

• Work hands-on as needed to support welding, fitting, and repair tasks.

• Monitor consumables, inventory, and equipment needs, ensuring workshop efficiency and cost control.

• Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and quality throughout the facility.

• Collaborate with logistics, operations, and sales teams to align workshop priorities with customer commitments.

• Support team growth, training, and motivation — fostering accountability and pride in workmanship.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in workshop or equipment maintenance, preferably in the foundation, construction, or heavy equipment industry.

• Proven leadership and organizational skills — able to coordinate people, projects, and deadlines.

• Strong understanding of tool repair, welding, and mechanical systems; a valid welding ticket is a major asset.

• Hands-on mindset — someone who leads by example and takes pride in precision, quality, and efficiency.

• Experience developing or following quality and maintenance procedures.

• Proactive problem-solver with a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Based within commuting distance of Barrie / Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

Why Join FDS

• Be part of a growing, field-driven organization that values craftsmanship and leadership.

• Take ownership of a key workshop and play a major role in building the next level of quality and efficiency.

• Work with a passionate, experienced team and industry-leading equipment and tooling.

• Competitive compensation, benefits, and growth potential in a dynamic organization
