Job Summary
The Chiropractic Health Assistant (CHA) serves as the first point of contact for patients and supports chiropractors with both administrative and clinical tasks. This dual role combines front desk duties (scheduling, payments, patient communication) with clinical assistance (room setup, patient prep, maintaining flow). The CHA ensures patients feel welcomed, informed, and cared for while keeping operations organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
-Front Desk & Administrative Duties- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, emails, and manage inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage rebooking, and send reminders.
- Process patient payments, issue receipts, and manage daily cash reconciliation.
- Enter patient data accurately into the EMR system, update records as needed.
- Assist with insurance verification, claims submissions, and account follow-up.
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming waiting area and front desk space.Clinical Assistance Duties- Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for the chiropractor.
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and well-stocked treatment rooms.
- Assist with x-ray preparation and documentation flow (as directed by the doctor).
- Support chiropractors during adjustments or therapies when required.
- Explain care plans and assist patients with scheduling ongoing appointments.
- Monitor patient progress and ensure smooth handoffs between staff and providers.Team & Patient Experience- Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate patient service.
- Communicate effectively with the manager and chiropractors to maintain clinic flow.
- Support patient retention by delivering clear instructions, reminders, and follow-ups
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college diploma in health sciences/admin is a plus).
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, reception, or assisting is preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Comfort handling financial transactions and basic billing.
- Computer literacy (EMR systems, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, and follow protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
