Ready to be part of the action?
The Enterprise Architect is a pivotal role within our Global Technology Services team, responsible for ensuring the strategic alignment of our technology capabilities with our business objectives. You will work alongside a team of talented architects to analyze our technology environment, facilitate crucial conversations between business and IT stakeholders, and develop the architectural blueprints that guide our evolution.

In addition to broad enterprise architecture duties, this role will have a specific focus on overseeing the infrastructure domain, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to a team of dedicated infrastructure architects to ensure their work aligns with the broader enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous analysis of the external technology landscape, including emerging technologies and market trends, while also studying our internal organizational and IT environment to identify opportunities for modernization and simplification.
  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership for the infrastructure architecture domain, working closely with a team of infrastructure architects to develop and maintain roadmaps for cloud, data centers, network, and core platforms.
  • Act as a key facilitator and translator between diverse business units and technology teams. You will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders at all levels to understand their concerns and ensure a shared understanding of goals and technical implications.
  • Find, propose, and discuss optimal planning decisions that satisfy business requirements and the concerns of all stakeholders. Develop architectural solutions, blueprints, and roadmaps that mitigate risks and align technology investments with strategic business goals.
  • Develop, update, and peer-review enterprise architecture artifacts to support strategic discussions and document achieved agreements. You will ensure the execution of agreed-upon plans by participating in governance forums like the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our EA practice by establishing, running, and optimizing EA-related processes. This includes managing the EA artifact repository and setting up the necessary software tools for the team's success.
  • Provide critical architectural analysis and expertise during technical due diligence for potential mergers and acquisitions, assessing technology stacks, integration challenges, and strategic alignment.

Primary Objectives & Measures Of Success
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to contribute to key outcomes, including:

  • Improving the effectiveness and return on IT investments.
  • Reducing the total cost of IT operations through strategic simplification.
  • Minimizing technical and compliance risks across the technology landscape.
  • Decreasing the complexity of the IT landscape by reducing redundant and legacy systems.
  • Increasing the reuse of available IT assets and architectural patterns.
  • Enhancing the agility of IT planning and the speed of project delivery.
  • Improving the overall conceptual consistency of our technology solutions.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with significant hands-on experience in an enterprise architecture role.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture strategies, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), and roadmaps.
  • Deep understanding of multiple architectural domains, including business, application, data, integration, and technology architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in or deep understanding of infrastructure architecture domains (e.g., cloud, network, compute, storage) and the ability to provide strategic direction in these areas.
  • Proven ability to lead or mentor other technical professionals.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse global stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.

Preferred:

  • A master's degree in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Relevant global certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), IT infrastructure (e.g., ITIL, AWS, Azure), data governance (e.g., CDMP), and information security (CISSP).
