Summary of Responsibilities:

Will be responsible for manufacturing of all productions products, in process QC and various backup duties. The Harness Assembly Techincian will be the first point of contact when questions or concerns arise during set up and assembly.

Responsibilities:

Manufactures multi pin assemblies, multi leg harnesses, electrical boxes, EMI shield assemblies and any other production products required.

Pre-assembles connectors with o-rings and pressure rings, precuts wire and heat shrink

Submits design and drawing change requests and suggestions to Engineering

Sets up and runs wire cutting,wire stripping and crimping equipment

Performs in process QC

Prints labels and applies to finished product

Takes digital photo images of finished product and provides to QC inspector

Backup QC for outsourced material pakaging, distribution, picking, packaging, connector assembly, crate building and shipment labeling.

Bags, labels, boxes and skids outgoing production shipments

Completes required QC & documents, and logs associated with ongoing jobs

Maintains a clean and organized work area

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics code.

Job Specifications:

Exellent verbal communication

Ability to read, write and speak English

High School diploma or equivalent

Excellent punctuality and attendance

Ability to follow instructions accurately

Ability to work with a team and independently

Detail oriented and ability to multitask

Ability to read engineering drawings

Computer literate

Minimum two years experience in manufacturing field

Proactive towards learning and change.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$23.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

  • Electrical wiring: 1 year (preferred)
