Hourly rate: Hourly Rate: $15.00 – $22.00 based on experience

Job Requirements:

  • Working towards a Secondary School Diploma/College Diploma or University Degree
  • Previous experience working with children (3-5 years of age) is an asset
  • Previous experience coaching and/or teaching sports an asset

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the director, the successful candidate is responsible to plan and implement a comprehensive, inclusive physical literacy program that meets the needs of all participants.
  • To ensure supervision of participants at all times and provide a safe and enjoyable experience by adhering to all safety and emergency procedures.
  • To provide quality customer service to participants, volunteers and parents
  • To conduct safety checks of program equipment and facilities daily. Reporting anything that may impact the quality and safe delivery of the program in a timely manner.
  • Work both independently and in a team environment to complete assigned tasks
  • To perform other related duties as assigned

Skill Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working with people and the ability to build relationships
  • You are positive, enthusiastic and have an endless supply of energy.
  • Strengths include attention to detail, highly organised planning, problem solving and decision-making.
  • Customer service oriented and able to work independently.
  • Interested in meeting new people and speaking confidently in a small group setting.
  • Reliable, punctual, hard work and motivated self-starter
  • Experience working with youth in a teaching environment in a sport.
  • Knowledge and interest of sports (basketball, football, soccer, etc)
