Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Line Cook to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, and kitchen operations, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to oversee meal preparation, coordinate food handling procedures, and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. The Senior Line Cook will play a vital role in mentoring junior staff and upholding the restaurant's commitment to excellence.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality and station flow.
  • Oversee food operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of meals to customers.
  • Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Assist in meal planning, recipe development, and menu enhancements.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients.
  • Ensure all food industry regulations are adhered to during daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven (5+ years) experience in restaurant or kitchen settings, with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service.
  • Food Handler Certificate is required.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members.
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and management.
  • Knowledge of Mediterranean, French and Anatolian / Turkish cuisine.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food experiences and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Pizza-making experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.38-$24.43 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
