Busy Paralegal office (401 & Weston Road) looking for an Administrative Legal Assistant.

Radar traffic Defence has been specializing in traffic and criminal offences with over 30 years of experience serving the greater Toronto area. Our team of experienced paralegals take pride in providing our customers with professional, expert, and most importantly effective advice.

We are looking for someone to join our team and bring fresh new skills and ideas to the environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, e detailed oriented, possess a friendly but firm attitude when taking information over the phone and be efficient in daily data entry. The hired candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily administrative duties - Reporting to and taking direction from the Senior Paralegal.
  • provide excellent customer service to prospective and active clients
  • accurately create files for clients including all necessary and accurate information
  • Input client information into database
  • file client information according to trial date and in alphabetical order
  • Review and draft legal documentation
  • Request, receive and review disclosures.
  • Request any legal documents from the courts.
  • Answer all legal inquires by phone and walk ins.
  • Responding to office emails and all inquires.
  • Mailing out invoices and legals documents

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of POA/HTA & some knowledge in the criminal code of Canada.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask.
  • Maintain general correspondence via telephone, email and fax enquiries
  • must have good time management skills and get things done in a timely manner.

Experience

Must have 2-3 years minimum experience
