Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with a knack for creating delicious beverages and providing an exceptional experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in our café, ensuring that each guest feels welcomed and satisfied with their orders.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
  • Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils used in food preparation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
  • Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions and manage inventory effectively.
  • Demonstrate time management skills by prioritizing tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality service.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

Requirements

  • Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
