Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment

Duties

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Operate the Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Demonstrate time management skills to efficiently serve customers during peak hours.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper food handling practices.

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus, with knowledge of food service operations.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous but not mandatory.
