Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team at our new office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office operations, with experience in both administrative tasks and patient interaction. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of our office, providing excellent service to patients, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the office, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process patient information and verify insurance details as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and relay information from specialists clearly and accurately
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • As this is a growing practice, opportunity for a management role is available as more staff is hired

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is preferred, training will be provided for specific systems of Accuro and Arya.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and scheduling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff alike.
  • Administrative experience that demonstrates ability to handle front desk responsibilities effectively.
  • Prior clinic management experience will be seen favorably with opportunity for management roles in this clinic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
