Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing excellent patient care and administrative support. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using MOIS Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages. Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes as well as performing basic hands on patient care such as taking vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, O2 saturation, height and weight). assisting in basic in office procedures such as skin biopsies, suture removal, wound dressing changes as necessary. Process patient forms and maintain confidentiality in accordance with medical professional privacy and confidentiality standards. Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing patient charts for appointments. Skills Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, specifically MOIS is highly desired. Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare environment. We strongly desire someone capable of basic in office procedure assistance and basic physical examination skills, training can be provided if required. Previous experience as a medical office assistant or similar medically relevant profession is a strong asset. Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff alike. Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
