Our Service Department is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-centric Service Advisor to join us while one of our team members is on maternity leave. This contract could lead to a permanent role
Job Summary
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our valued customers and our skilled service team. Your energetic and customer-focused approach will ensure a seamless experience for clients seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs.
You'll greet customers, assess their vehicle needs, and communicate effectively with technicians to deliver top-quality service.
Your enthusiasm for automobiles and dedication to customer satisfaction will drive repeat business and foster long-term relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine automotive knowledge with exceptional sales skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Explain recommended services and repairs clearly, ensuring customers understand the scope and benefits of each.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using automotive diagnostics tools and service writing software.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that enhance vehicle performance and safety, such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, or tire service.
- Process payments efficiently and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain comprehensive service records and follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction.
Your Job
- Be the pleasant, confident face customers trust with their Volvo
- Translate "technician lingo" into clear, helpful advice that our customers understand.
- Book service appointments and keep the service process running smoothly behind the scenes
- Make sure every vehicle gets VIP treatment
- Keep customers in the loop with timely updates and no surprises upon pick up
- Create service orders, estimates, and invoices with care and accuracy
- Deliver a service experience that feels very Volvo.
Experience
- Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures
- Proven ability in auto estimating, service writing, and upselling automotive services.
- Experience with Dealership Management System CDK required
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspension work, and transmission repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective sales techniques to promote additional services or vehicle sales.
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately and managing automotive repair documentation efficiently.
- Bonus points if you know and love the Volvo brand

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $35,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
