Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our independent automotive repair shop team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role requires strong communication skills, automotive repair and parts knowledge, and the ability to upsell services while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Previous dealership or mechanic repair shop experience is preferred but willing to train an individual.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service requests
  • Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, ensuring customer understanding
  • Prepare repair orders, estimate costs, and communicate timelines clearly to customers
  • Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs efficiently
  • Upsell additional services or products that meet customer needs, enhancing overall service value
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
  • Complete repair quotes including the required labour and parts needed using our invoicing software. Contacting customers with quotes and getting approval on the necessary work needed
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions in the dealership management system

Skills

  • Proven experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is highly desirable
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle issues and repair procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Sales aptitude with experience in upselling services or products effectively
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Good organizational skills for managing multiple customer interactions and repair orders
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with a focus on building long-term customer relationships

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
