Accountant / Business Administrator (Full Time)
BN Progressive Products Ltd based in Mississauga, ON are one of the leading manufacturers of Rigid Plastic Packaging. BNPP is actively seeking an 'Accountant/ Business Administrator' with 'result oriented' attitude to join their Team.
The responsibilities to include the following:
- Accounts Receivable / Accounts payable / Business administration
- Review Customer Aged Summary Report on regular basis
- General collection activity on account.
- Keep track of EFT payments
- Enter cheques in the deposit book and filing the related documents.
Accounts Payable:
- Review and verify invoices
- Sort, code and match invoices
- Set invoices up for payment
- Prepare and perform check runs
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Maintain vendor files
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Coordinate with other departments for AP activities
Payroll:
- T4 Preparation
- Collect and verify timesheets for all employees
- Calculate pay according to the hours worked
- Prepare checks for bi-weekly payments
- Update employee information whenever necessary
- Keep track of employee travel benefits and vacations or any other deductions
- Maintain CRA's procedures for processing payroll activity
Administration:
- Answering phone calls
- Receiving and directing visitors
- Placing order for office supplies whenever needed
- Proper filing and documentation whenever necessary
- Effective communication with manager, supervisor and other staff
Other Duties
- Cash management (cash flow)
- bank reconciliation
- Journal entries
- Tax reports/ reconciliations
- Tax payment schedules
- Other government payments
- Assist in audit requirements

Computer & Accounting Software Skills:
Must have knowledge of Microsoft office
Must be proficient in using Sage 50 software - will be tested during interview process
Good work ethics and willingness to learn and improve

Education & Experience
Must have knowledge of Accounting software
Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing). Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset; please specify.)
Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience is a must
