HSI Group - a div of Heating Solutions International is a fully integrated provider of instrumentation, electrical, automation, SCADA, communications, combustion and emissions services throughout Western Canada.

  • Installation of new Burner systems and maintenance of existing systems
  • Provide Burner tuning and recommendations to clients
  • Completing regular and scheduled preventative maintenance as required.
  • Completing Combustion and Shut down reports including flame arrestor test reports
  • Reading and interpreting schematics and drawings.
  • Installing, maintaining and fixing a variety of equipment such as, but not limited to propane and natural gas fired heaters, Dehy's, Tank Heaters, Re-Boilers, Salt Bath Heaters, Incinerators and combustors.
  • Completing annual full emergency Shutdowns, PM's and fire heater testing.
  • Providing basic instrument services and venting on combustion and emissions equipment.
  • Providing commissioning start-up, testing and tuning of units.
  • Completing required documentation and compliancy for CSA certification and governing bodies.
  • Completing Biennial Flame arrestor testing of fired heaters.
  • Providing Custom burner and emissions tuning.
  • Follow up with existing clients and seek opportunities to gain new ones
  • Pull Permits and maintain documentation
  • Follow all codes and trade regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience and / or Journeymen or Apprentice in one or more of the following trades would be considered an asset - Instrumentation, Electrical, Class A Gas Fitting
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Clear understanding of the B149 Gas codes and applications
  • Experience with natural draft and forced air heating appliances in oil and gas industry
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills.

* The Ideal Candidate must possess a Journeyman/woman level or higher equivalency in any of the above trades with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. In addition, the candidate must possess a hands-on mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on a variety of equipment within the oil and gas industry.
