Electrician





We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Electrician to join our team. Whether you are an experienced Journeyman or a driven Apprentice, we have opportunities for growth and development. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

For Journeyman Electricians:

  • Perform complex installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Inspect electrical systems, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Supervise apprentices and provide mentorship and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other trades and project teams to plan and execute electrical work.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
  • Maintain records of repairs, installations, and inspections

For Apprentice Electricians:

  • Assist Journeyman Electricians with installations, repairs, and system maintenance.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Participate in hands-on training to develop technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Support safety initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Gain experience with electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Track progress and hours to meet apprenticeship program requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Apprentice: Enrolled in or eligible for an approved electrician apprenticeship program
  • Journeyman: Journeyman Electrician Certification (or equivalent provincial certification)
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and codes (CEC)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights
  • Work may involve exposure to electrical hazards, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Travel to various job sites may be required
