Overview

We're looking for a seasoned, hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of our chef-driven steakhouse by Derek Dammann and David McMillan.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who runs a precise operation, leads with authority, and holds high standards without compromise. You are accountable for performance, people, and execution — on the floor, in the numbers, and in the culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations: service, bar, floor leadership, and kitchen coordination
  • Set, enforce, and maintain service standards aligned with the chefs' vision
  • Direct, mentor, and hold accountable the management and floor teams
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination between front of house, back of house, and ownership
  • Control scheduling, staffing levels, and labor costs using Auphan
  • Own and optimize reservations and guest flow using OpenTable, including data analysis
  • Own financial performance: budgets, P&L oversight, cost control, inventory, and margins
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (sales, labor, reservations, guest feedback)
  • Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence during service
  • Manage guest relations, including regulars and VIPs, with professionalism and discretion
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations

Qualities We're Looking For

  • Proven General Manager experience in a big-chain, high-end, or chef-driven restaurant
  • Clear authority and calm leadership under pressure
  • Strong command of restaurant financials and operations
  • High standards, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Direct communicator with strong decision-making skills
  • Comfortable leading from the floor, nights and weekends included
  • Proficient with OpenTable, Auphan, POS systems, and reporting tools
  • Fully bilingual in English and French (required)

Ce poste exige un leadership ferme, une grande rigueur opérationnelle et une présence constante sur le terrain. Vous êtes responsable de l'exécution, des équipes et de la performance globale du restaurant.

Responsabilités

  • Diriger l'ensemble des opérations quotidiennes : salle, bar et coordination avec la cuisine
  • Définir, appliquer et maintenir les standards de service
  • Encadrer les équipes de gestion et de service et en assurer l'accountability
  • Assurer une communication claire entre la salle, la cuisine et les propriétaires
  • Gérer les horaires, les effectifs et les coûts de main-d'œuvre à l'aide de Auphan
  • Gérer et optimiser les réservations et le flow client via OpenTable, incluant l'analyse des données
  • Assumer la performance financière : budgets, P&L, coûts et inventaires
  • Suivre et analyser les indicateurs de performance
  • Maintenir une présence forte et visible en salle pendant le service
  • Gérer la relation client, incluant la clientèle régulière et les VIP
  • Veiller au respect des normes de santé, sécurité et travail

Profil recherché

  • Expérience confirmée comme directeur·trice général·e dans une chaîne d'envergure, un restaurant haut de gamme ou chef-driven
  • Leadership calme, structuré et assumé
  • Maîtrise des enjeux financiers et opérationnels en restauration
  • Exigence élevée et souci du détail
  • Communication directe et prise de décision rapide
  • À l'aise dans un rôle terrain (soirs et fins de semaine)
  • Maîtrise de OpenTable, Auphan et des systèmes POS
  • Parfaitement bilingue français / anglais (obligatoire)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
