JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE OF POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: ADMINISTRATOR

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Administrator, the Business Development Representative is responsible for business development of the agency by networking and connecting with healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics and eldercare facilities to generate sales referrals for home care solutions. She/he will coordinate and manage sales within a defined geographic area and ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating local marketing & business opportunities.

Works with the Administrator to created short-term andlong-term business planning goals and benchmarks by which to measure progress;

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops a sales and marketing plan with the Administrator;

  • Plans and creates business development opportunities and follows the Qualicare sales system to promote Qualicare services;

  • Supports and promotes sales and marketing of programs with prospective and existing clients to increase company awareness and presence by conducting a minimum of 40 sales calls per week;

  • Establishes a working rapport with health care professionals and potential referral sources within the territory;

  • Assesses business opportunities with the Administrator and develops strategies to increase revenues;

  • Responds to inquiries from members of the business community and general public concerning development opportunities;

  • Identifies new business opportunities and creates and builds proposals;

  • Manages sales accounts and meets financial targets with respect to sales and business development opportunities;

  • Regularly monitors the sales & marketing plan and reports analysis to the Administrator on a weekly basis;

  • Implements plans for revenue growth of the business by achieving specific goals, objectives and tactics for implementation;

  • Assists Administrator with key presentations to promote Qualicare programs and services;

  • Manages customer relations and inputs and updates information in CRM;

  • Participates in opportunities to increase social media activity and effectiveness;

  • Supports the strategy and ongoing activities for all social media communications (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+);

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business
  • Prefer minimum of three years sales experience;
  • Computer proficiency – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM database;
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+)
  • Car, valid driver's license and car insurance
