Job Description: The Accounts Clerk works as part of the Business Office team of Sherbrooke Community Centre/Central Haven Special Care Home, providing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and other support duties including assisting residents and staff with their administrative and financial needs at Central Haven. The Accounts Clerk contributes to excellent public and internal relations through friendly, courteous and personal contact with residents, families, staff and all other affiliations. Services are in keeping with the Mission of Central Haven, Principles of Care, Organizational Principles and Principles of the Eden Alternative.

Experience

  • One (1) year experience performing general accounting functions

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, scheduling & training platforms
  • Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment & organizational skills
  • Demonstration of extreme attention to detail

Additional Comment

  • No guaranteed hours. Must be Available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats and holidays, where applicable.
