Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. This role is vital in ensuring smooth shifts, maintaining high-quality service, and supporting team members to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate team members during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient service delivery
  • Manage POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
  • Oversee food preparation and serving processes to adhere to food safety and handling standards
  • Assist with cashiering duties, including basic math calculations for transactions and cash handling
  • Ensure compliance with food industry regulations and company policies
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with health standards
  • Support staff training on food safety, serving techniques, and POS operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Experience

  • Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
  • Strong background in hospitality, serving, or food service roles
  • Demonstrated ability in time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
  • Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are essential
