Sales Representative - Manufacturing Division

Custom Metal Contracting (Western) Ltd. is a leader in architectural metals with over 45 years of industry experience. We are currently seeking a Sales Representative focused exclusively on our Manufacturing Division, including our metal fabrication shop and custom production services.

Our facilities utilize state-of-the-art CNC equipment to produce high-quality components from aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized, satin coat, and painted sheet metals. We specialize in high-volume runs, but also offer flexibility for small-batch and one-off custom pieces — all built to exacting standards.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to lead our sales and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development and technology sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, managing client relationships, and leading a team of sales professionals to success.

Duties

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Take a part in business development for CMC's manufacturing and fabrication services
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Conduct outside sales activities, including prospecting, networking, and client meetings to build strong customer relationships.
  • Identify and grow relationships with contractors, OEM clients, and industrial partners.
  • Collaborate closely with shop supervisors, engineers, and estimators.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Manage bids, estimates, and proposal execution from concept to close.
  • Maintain and track a strong pipeline of opportunities and revenue forecasts.
  • Travel 20–30% within Western Canada to meet with clients and build business

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial sales.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal products, fabrication processes, and shop operations would be beneficial.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand custom fabrication workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and CRM tools.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
