Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Cyber Security Manager, reporting to Site Lead, working out of the Richmond BC office.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead and strengthen our cybersecurity initiatives across Boeing Global Services - Digital Services organization.

As a Cyber Security Manager, you will be a key member of the Cyber Security function, responsible for designing and implementing robust security solutions for our cloud infrastructure and applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud environments adhere to the highest security standards and best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our sensitive data and ensuring the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of our cloud-based services.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in cybersecurity.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the cybersecurity team for Digital Services to protect Boeing's information systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, software architects, and DevOps teams to design and implement security solutions for cloud-based systems across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into projects and operations.
  • Manage risk assessments, audits, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of security posture through training, awareness, and technology upgrades.
  • Liaise with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies on cybersecurity matters.
  • Prepare and present security reports and metrics to senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data flows.
  • Design, develop and implement secure patterns to aid the transformation of our estate to cloud first.
  • Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and services that enhance our cloud security posture.
  • Lead security awareness training and education initiatives to ensure developers and application teams are familiar and competent in secure-by-design methodologies.
  • Partner with development and platform communities to facilitate community steering of enterprise security roadmap.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously enhance our security strategies.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with incident response, threat management, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, network security, and application security.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or cloud platform-specific certifications are a plus.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.

Salary pay range - $96, $172,000.00 CAD
