About Us
Kevlar Security Ltd. is a professional security company providing protection services across retail, commercial, and community environments throughout the Lower Mainland. Our goal is to deliver proactive, reliable, and customer-service-oriented safety to our clients. We are currently seeking trilingual (Cantonese, Mandarin, and English) security guards for sites located in Richmond.
Position Overview
As a Security Guard, you will ensure the safety and security of customers, tenants, and property while maintaining a friendly and approachable presence. This role involves active patrol, customer assistance, and emergency response in a retail and community setting. Ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, tenants, and visitors in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the site to prevent theft, vandalism, and trespassing
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations
- Write accurate daily activity and incident reports
- Enforce site rules respectfully while maintaining customer service standards
- Liaise with clients, management, and law enforcement when required
- Monitor CCTV systems and perform access control duties where applicable
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and courteous attitude at all times
Requirements
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (mandatory)
- Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (required for communication with diverse clientele)
- Excellent communication and conflict de-escalation skills
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Previous retail or mall security experience preferred but not required
Schedule
- Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts available
- Flexible scheduling for full-time or part-time availability
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate (CA$19.50 – CA$23.00/hour) based on experience and site assignment
