Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will have the responsibility for the execution of all activities related to cash processing and reconciliation operations in the market for all client segments. You will work closely with several internal teams to process RBC ITS client instructions accurately and in a timely manner to provide a positive client experience. In addition, you will follow the necessary steps and procedures to identify processing gaps and to follow regulatory requirements.

What will you do?

Operational Effectiveness

  • Execute operating procedures that ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all processes.

  • Contribute to environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality within the department.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance our service and value proposition for our clients; and can identify where processing gaps occur and can perform other tasks as needed to help with coverage.

  • Identify and resolve reoccurring problems to ensure corrective actions and proper procedures are put in place.

Risk Management

  • Follow pre-set procedures ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements as well as corporate audit and risk management requirements.

  • Contribute to satisfactory results in all internal & external audits.

  • Undertake ongoing training & development of staff on operating procedures & regulatory requirements.

Authorities, Impact, Risk

  • Identification of instructions that have missing key information to process instructions and able to reject unacceptable instructions; and prioritization of work load to process accurately before end of day

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Pertinent industry & regulatory/compliance knowledge
    reconciliation knowledge

  • 1 -2 years relevant work experience

  • Strong Computer Skills

  • Accurate data entry skills

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Client service Skills

Nice- to-have

  • Undergraduate degree would be preferred but not essential

  • Technical knowledge in Global Payment practices –Technical knowledge in Microsoft Excel

  • Technical knowledge in different investment instrument types

  • Technical knowledge in SWIFT Message
