About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Administrator to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll collaborate with two other accounting administrators and integrate closely with administrative and principal groups. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and office skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Receivable & Payable: invoice preparation, project maintenance, vendor postings
  • Reconcile accounts: credit cards, bank accounts, general ledger, and vendor statements
  • Post and maintain monthly journal entries
  • Assist in preparing Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow forecasts
  • Issue vendor statements and follow up on AR payments
  • Support year-end preparation and coordination with external accountants
  • Handle CRA remittances, WSIB, and related compliance
  • Process payments via online banking platforms
  • Perform general office administration and support duties

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in progressive accounting roles (project accountant, general accountant, or bookkeeper)
  • Experience in the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) industry preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera/Vantagepoint, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
  • Payroll processing experience (ADP) is an asset
  • Ability to manage sub-consultant and disbursement billings/payments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and professional communication with internal/external clients

Education & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially in digital documentation and online storage
