Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Design Development: Assist in creating detailed architectural drawings, plans, and renderings based on client specifications and design concepts.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with architects, designers, and engineers to develop innovative solutions for residential and commercial projects.
  • Client Communication: Participate in client meetings, helping to capture and translate client needs and feedback into design adjustments and revisions.
  • Permit and Documentation Preparation: Assist in preparing and submitting permit applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and meets local building codes and regulations.
  • Site Visits and Assessments: Conduct site visits to assess project progress, gather data, and ensure designs are being implemented correctly.
  • Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and construction techniques to incorporate innovative solutions into our projects.
  • Quality Control: Review and refine design documents to ensure they meet the firm's high standards of quality and precision.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the team to brainstorm design ideas, solve challenges, and contribute to the overall creative process.
  • Sustainability Focus: Assist in integrating sustainable design practices into projects, aligning with the firm's commitment to environmentally responsible architecture.
  • Time Management and Organization: Manage tasks efficiently to meet project deadlines and maintain clear and organized project files.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology, B. Arch, or equivalent
  • Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit
  • Proficiency in Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Excellent understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization and communication skills, and
  • Access to a personal vehicle with an Ontario drivers license.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
