Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Data Analyst
to support data-driven decision-making across
Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI)
operations. The role involves close collaboration with business, risk, compliance, and finance teams to deliver insights that drive strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Mandatory Requirement

  • Candidate
    must be Protected-B certified
    OR
    have
    a minimum of 5 years of Canadian work experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze
    financial, transactional, and customer data
    to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across banking and insurance portfolios
  • Design, maintain, and enhance
    dashboards and reports
    for stakeholders using tools such as
    Power BI, Tableau, or SAS
  • Support
    regulatory reporting and compliance
    , ensuring data accuracy and alignment with industry standards (e.g.,
    OSFI, FINTRAC
    )
  • Collaborate with
    risk, compliance, and finance teams
    to support:
  • Fraud detection
  • Credit risk modeling
  • Underwriting decisions
  • Perform
    segmentation and predictive analysis
    to support customer acquisition, retention, and cross-sell strategies
  • Automate data pipelines and reporting processes
    to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Monitor and report on key KPIs, including:
  • Loan performance
  • Claims ratios
  • Customer churn rates
  • Operational efficiency metrics
  • Conduct
    ad-hoc analysis
    to support strategic initiatives such as:
  • Product launches
  • Pricing strategies
  • Market expansion
  • Ensure
    data governance and data quality standards
    are consistently upheld
  • Stay current with
    BFSI analytics trends
    , including
    AI/ML applications, open banking, and digital transformation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with
    database technologies
    and large data sets
  • Proven background in
    BFSI data analytics
  • Hands-on experience with
    BI and reporting tools
    (Power BI, Tableau, SAS)
  • Solid understanding of
    regulatory and compliance reporting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
