We're looking for our next Data Analyst, Fraud Analytics & Reporting. Could it be you?
The Data Analyst, Fraud Analytics & Reporting will proactively optimize risk management frameworks through advanced analytical skills. This role involves building and maintaining sophisticated fraud models using machine learning and predictive modeling. Key responsibilities include transforming large datasets into actionable insights, and collaborating with other team members to enhance our defenses and ensure a seamless customer experience.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Strategy & Modelling: Lead the development and refinement of fraud detection strategies and algorithms for the entire BNPL business. Utilize AI, machine learning, and predictive modelling to fight fraud and provide seamless client experiences.
  • Advanced Analytics: Monitor complex transactions and behavioural patterns to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. Independently conduct ad-hoc analyses and provide fraud mitigation insights to leadership.
  • Performance Optimization: Report on the effectiveness of current fraud controls and maintain the best possible false positive rates to minimize customer friction while reducing fraud losses.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present detailed reports on fraud trends and investigation outcomes to leadership and other stakeholders. Develop and maintain business-as-usual (BAU) performance reports and dashboards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Fraud Analytics, working closely with Product, Engineering, and IT partners on solution design and the execution of new fraud prevention initiatives.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from several sources to facilitate more effective procedures, improved analysis, and simplified reporting.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all fraud prevention activities adhere to governance requirements, including Privacy and Audit, and align with the organization's risk appetite.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in fraud analysis, risk management, or a related data science role.
  • Have experience in a fintech, e-commerce, or digital payments environment.
  • Have proven expertise in using SQL for complex querying
  • Have hands-on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

Additional Kudos If You…

  • Have completed certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and have hands-on experience with machine learning models.
  • Have experience with Python for data analysis and modeling
