Cox Contractors Ltd. is currently accepting applications for the following Gravel Crusher Positions:

  • Gravel Crusher – Tower Operator
  • Rock Truck operators
  • Gravel Operator – Loader Operator
  • Gravel Crusher – Ground Man

The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include:

· Must be capable of operating and maintaining towers, crushing, and screening plants, stackers, and skid steers.

· Will be required to complete daily inspection reporting of production.

· Load materials such as sand, gravel, dirt, etc.

· May operate a skid steer to move parts and as needed.

· Work closely with other crew members, coordinate work, and ensure safety.

· Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment transport on a flatbed as needed.

· Daily contact with staff to review operations and problems arising throughout the crusher.

· Daily contact with the Production and Maintenance Supervisor to discuss maintenance requirements and problems to ensure minimal interruption to the operation.

· Responsible for following all legislated policies and company procedures.

· Pre-operating inspections as per checklist.

· Hourly inspections and routine checks of the crushing circuit.

· Produces a detailed shift report summarizing major events and production results.

· Attends and conducts daily information exchange throughout the shift and with their respected cross-shift.

· Ensures all crusher reports are completed prior to usage of the skid steer, scissor lift, man lift, loaders, etc.

· Assists in accident/incident investigations and reporting when requested.

· Records time sheet every shift.

· Maximizes tonnage throughout the crushing circuit and efforts to minimize downtime in a completely safe and efficient manner.

· Ensures safety standards are met.

· Additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years of crushing experience is preferred.

· Effective communication skills.

· Personal Transportation.

Training and Documentation:

· First Aid

· Driver's License
