Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves creating stylish haircuts, color treatments, and styling services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for clients. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of hair services including cuts, color, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and offering professional recommendations
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
  • Upsell retail products such as hair care items to enhance client experience and salon revenue
  • Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships
  • Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon industry standards

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon setting is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Knowledge of hair styling techniques, coloring, and treatments
  • Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
  • Ability to upsell retail products confidently to clients
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Previous experience managing front desk responsibilities or retail sales is a plus
