We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator who will support our Buildings group and work on our transit and municipal buildings projects. You will take responsibility for projects of a diverse nature and provide support for clients in the execution of their most ambitious undertakings. The ideal person will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication and writing skills. This a hybrid role that will be based out of our GTA or Ottawa offices. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Carrying out multidisciplinary coordination and follow-up with our clients in the realization of medium to large-scale projects  
  • Proactively contributing to the search for solutions aimed at maximizing the quality and performance of projects  
  • Identifying and monitor issues that may affect budgets and timelines within established milestones.  
  • Liaise with clients, governments, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders to guide projects through the approval processes and effective information exchange 
  • Perform a variety of cost/budget studies and research assignments, requiring analysis and interpretation of data.  
  • Monitor progress and performance against established terms of reference and Work Plans.  
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review contracts, Work Plans, reports, and documents. Obtain signoffs as required. 
  • Prepare PPT for clients and internal stakeholders for summary of projects 
  • Manage the process of calls for tenders, awarding and negotiation of construction and professional services contracts.  
  • Assembling, and delivering construction contracts and professional scopes of work
Qualifications
  • University Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) or Technical College (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) or similar education with demonstrated experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on engineering design and construction projects. 
  • Having the ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical specification 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional initiative and attention to detail. 
  • Skills in work organization, priority management and an interest in teamwork in an environment that can change direction quickly  
  • Proficiency in project management software, including P6 Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects would be an asset.
  • Sound professional judgment, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast passed, deadline oriented and dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to successfully and collaboratively work within a team environment and across disciplines as well as work independently. 
  • PMP or LEED certification (asset) 
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft D365 (asset)
  • Experience with managing multi-discipline designs and construction projects (asset)  
  • Experience in bidding/negotiating contracts & developing strong career partnerships as well as business development skills (asset).
