Toronto, Ontario, Canada ENERLIFE CONSULTING INC. Full time

We are looking for a highly organized, people-focused Human Resources and Administration Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting both our employees and the day-to-day operations of the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and consistently brings structure, clarity, and strong communication to every aspect of the organization.

The Human Resources and Administration Manager will be responsible for leading core Human Resources functions, including:

  • Recruitment and hiring: Manage job postings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support the recruitment process.
  • Employee experience: Manage and improve the employee experience from onboarding through to structured development, training and mentorship.
  • Employee development: With direction from senior management, help develop, implement and continuously improve the employee development plan.
  • Employee relations and support: Serve as a confidential point of contact for employee questions and concerns, support performance discussions, guide managers, and foster a positive, professional workplace culture.
  • Policy and compliance management: Maintain company policies, ensuring adherence to employment standards and company practices (with legal support), oversee vacation/sick time tracking, and stay current with legislative changes.
  • Benefits administration: Manage employee benefit enrollments, updates, terminations, and respond to employee benefit-related inquiries.
  • Payroll coordination: Submit and update payroll information to our external payroll providers and maintain accurate employee records.

In addition to core human resources responsibilities, the Human Resource and Administration Manager will work with the Administrative Assistant to manage:

  • Events, scheduling and logistics: Support the Administrative Assistant in scheduling and logistics of program and other events.
  • Improvement and streamlining of business processes: Work with Senior Management and other teams to identify opportunities, improve and streamline business processes.

This role is a key connector within the organization—balancing professionalism, discretion, and approachability while supporting both staff and leadership.

Qualifications

You are the right person for us if you genuinely light up when solving problems, supporting teammates, and creating a company culture where people are excited to come to work.

In addition, you have:

  • 3-5 years with human resource experience across the full spectrum of generalist work.
  • A track record of administration management that shows you can juggle priorities.
  • A high level of attention to detail and are exceptionally well-organized.
  • Working knowledge of employment law (and the wisdom to know when to loop in legal counsel).
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field—or commensurate real-world experience.
