Overview

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team during the winter season specifically in the southwest and northwest areas of Calgary. This role involves operating snow removal equipment to ensure safe and accessible roads, driveways, and parking lots. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical systems and a strong work ethic, capable of working in challenging weather conditions to maintain clear pathways for the community and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow trucks and related machinery efficiently to clear snow from designated areas
  • Assist with ice management using salt spreaders or other de-icing tools as needed
  • Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and complete snow removal tasks promptly
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately
  • Maintain records of work completed and areas serviced

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery
  • Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, shoveling, and working on uneven surfaces

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
