OZ Landscaping has an opening for an experienced individual interested in continuing a career, or long-term employment opportunity with room for growth and promotions in the landscaping and snow removal industry. OZ Landscaping works in all areas of the industry. Currently, we are looking for a polished grounds maintenance crew lead and team member that is driven to climb to management. Training will be provided. Tasks include Spring and Fall clean-ups, Ground Maintenance & Snow Removal. Tasks may also include landscape construction and customer service. The individual will be in constant contact with machines such as ride-on and push lawn mowers, trimmers, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, hand tools, snow sweepers, plow trucks, bobcats and truck and trailer assemblies.

Beneficial experience assets included:

Bobcat experience

Plow truck experience

Mechanics experience

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Leading the ground maintenance crew (grass cutting, hedge trimming, edging)
  • Driving truck and trailers
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of crew performance
  • Following OZ Landscaping's safety policies and procedures
  • Showing up on time every day, punctual, follows instructions, setting an example
  • MUST hold themselves with integrity
  • Displaying leadership skills
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and providing exceptional customer service
  • Dedicated and hardworking

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Has the ability to work in all outdoor weather conditions, hot and cold temperatures
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Ability to handle physically demanding day to day operations
  • Frequent standing, lifting 50 lbs, walking and crouching
  • 8 – 10 hours shifts 5 days a week during summer
  • On call with salary during the winter months, working all hours of the day and night

Attributes to be considered as a successful applicant includes:

  • MUST HAVE Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Must comply with criminal background check
  • Ability to perform physical tasks with little supervision
  • Has a willingness to learn, work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills - Basic English is necessary
  • Always following OZ Landscaping's Safety Policies and Procedures
  • 1 year of ground maintenance and snow removal experience is an asset
  • Must own a vehicle to get to and from the shop
  • Willing to purchase uniform

OZ Landscaping offers competitive wages, and guaranteed hours during the winter months. Minimum starting wage is $19/hr, negotiable based on skill set and experience.

Uniforms are required to be worn on all sites.
