Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Junior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about hair styling and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. As a Junior Hair Stylist, you will assist senior stylists, engage with clients, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Duties

  • Assist senior stylists with hair cutting, coloring, and styling services
  • Greet clients at the front desk and manage appointment scheduling
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and preferences
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in workstations and tools
  • Upsell retail products to enhance client experience and salon revenue
  • Educate clients on hair care routines and product recommendations
  • Handle retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Support the team with front desk responsibilities, including answering phones and managing client flow
  • Ensure the salon environment remains organized, clean, and inviting for clients

Experience

  • Prior experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus; enthusiasm to learn is essential
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to maintain sanitation standards according to health regulations
  • A positive attitude, professionalism, and a passion for the beauty industry are highly valued
