Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baking Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our baked goods business, ensuring that our products are prepared, decorated, and presented to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and customer service, along with experience in food preparation and handling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of cookies.
  • Decorate cookies and other baked goods with attention to detail and creativity.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Package baked goods for display and sale to customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
  • Follow recipes accurately to maintain product consistency and quality.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines while handling ingredients and finished products.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid food handlers certification
  • Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cookie decorating techniques is a plus.
  • Familiarity with food preparation methods and cooking techniques.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • Experience in food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A passion for baking and an eagerness to learn new skills within the food industry is essential.
