We're looking for a friendly, reliable part-time team member to join our busy, family-run bakery If you love good food, great coffee, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers, we'd love to meet you.

What you'll do:

Serve guests with a smile — as a barista, cashier, and all-around customer hero

Help keep our bakery spotless and organized

Support with merchandising and product displays

Be part of a fun, fast-paced environment where every day smells amazing

Schedule:

25.5 hours per week — lunch shifts and Saturdays

Must be available to work during the Holiday season (our busiest — and most magical — time of year)

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Bistro DuPain in Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating delicious bakery items that reflect our commitment to quality and tradition. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of providing exceptional baked goods and customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of French pastries and breads
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Assist in menu planning and product development
  • Maintain inventor
  • Provide excellent customer service during product sales
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Uphold the quality standards of all baked goods produced
  • Train new staff on baking techniques and safety procedures
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in food preparation, particularly in baking
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with POS systems is an asset
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Previous restaurant or bakery experience preferred
  • Basic math skills for inventory management
