We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of CWB Welding Inspector Level 2. The role of CWB Welding Inspector Level 2 to the Quality Manager. Liburdi Dimetrics Corporation offers competitive wages. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Performing visual inspections on welds as per standard procedures
  • Tracking quality control records
  • Working with control code materials
  • Assisting with the preparation of test plans and weld maps
  • Monitoring ultrasonic and radiographic inspections
  • Performing mechanical testing of welds
  • Monitoring weld parameters during trials
  • Collecting data for weld procedures to be submitted for approval
  • Ensuring sign-off and quality documents are accurate and are maintained though out the manufacturing process
  • Confirming welding is performed to the approved procedures
  • Issuing non-conformance reports as appropriate
  • Ensuring NDE is performed in conjunction with established procedures

Key Experience/Education:

  • CWB Welding Inspector Level 2 certification required
  • College level education, or equivalent work / trade experience required
  • 5-7 years' previous Welding Inspection experience required
  • Experience with CSA, ASME, TSSA required
  • Knowledge in welding power sources, stress and distortion, metallurgy, welding equipment, consumables and material specifications considered an asset
  • Knowledge of PAW, GMAW, GTAW, and Hot Wire Orbital is an asset
  • Other Welding or NDE certifications considered a strong asset
  • Field experience is an asset
