The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Sr Analyst, IT Business Function to join our Information Technology team in Toronto.

This is a permanent hybrid position.

As an Sr Analyst, IT Business Function, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The primary purpose of this role is to analyze and interpret business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives.

Additionally, in this position you will:

• Conduct business analysis through interviews and workshops; create requirement documents, user stories, wireframes, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with developers and architects on solution design; perform feasibility studies, develop test plans, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Lead project activities, manage timelines and milestones, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and feedback.
• Mentor junior analysts, support change management, and make informed decisions balancing technical feasibility and business needs.
• Utilize business analysis and project management tools (e.g., Visio, Jira, MS Project), work with databases (SQL, Oracle), ERP (SAP, Dynamics), and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Coordinate meetings, manage documentation, ensure compliance, liaise with vendors, and deliver training programs for users and team members.

About You

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in Project management or relevant experience.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and database management; ability to run complex queries and data reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly; experience in stakeholder communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively; experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead project activities; experience in team management and coordination.
