Medical Office Assistant – Full Time Position

We are looking for a committed, energetic, and detail-oriented individual with excellent patient rapport to join our medical clinic. Balmoral Clinic is a brand new family practice facility clinic. As a Medical Office Assistant, you would be playing an integral part in aiding the team to ensure a seamless run practice.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Proficient with Accuro EMR software

· Must have at least 1 year experience as a Medical Office Assistant

· Familiarity with medical terminology

· Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills on various levels along side the healthcare professional team and stakeholders

· Effective clear verbal and in written communication skills

· Demonstrates a high level of accuracy

· Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

· Must be able to multi-task and function in a high paced environment

· Ability to work independently as well as a team member

· Must be able to demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, professionalism and maintain confidentiality (Personal Health Information Act - PHIA)

Responsibility:

· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safe work practices

· Efficient in coordinating and scheduling appointments

· Managing patient referrals

· The first and last point of contact at the clinic

· Maintains and clean equipment along with other duties related to ensuring the cleanliness of the clinic

· Ensuring supplies are stocked and ordered accordingly

· Ability to collect and process payments for uninsured services and private pay transactions

· Meet mental and physical demands of the job

· Other duties as assigned

· Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 20lbs or more

Compensation:

· Hourly
