Position Title:  Lead Senior Accountant

Role Summary:

The Lead Senior Accountant, under the direction of the Accounting Manager, , ensures the accuracy of special project accounting and reporting activities   as they relate to support of Branch Offices.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and review of financial reporting packages and ad-hoc information.
  • Participate in the year-end audit and review processes
  • Assist in the development of reporting requirements as requested by Corporate Managers
  • Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet account analysis and reconciliations
  • Lead and/or assist with internal project expenditure analysis
  • Contribute to implementing projects and process improvements in the department
  • Participate in the setup of the accounting and reporting structure to track project costs for the CNC project.
  • Support, maintain, and develop accounting systems
  • Submit all reports in accordance with the timelines and content requirements for the project.
  • Maintain all financial records for the project in accordance with ASPE.
  • Monitor project progress and investigate variances from original project estimates.
  • Provide regular status updates to management.
  • Coordinate with and provide support to external audit at the conclusion of the project.

West GTA   ** HYBRID WORKING MODEL **

Salary Range:

Based on Experience plus Bonus 6%

Requirements:
  • A university degree in business (or related discipline) from a recognized and accredited educational institution
  • Minimum near completion of a recognized CPA accounting designation or MBA
  • Five years of related project accounting experience; a proven track record in balance sheet and P&L analysis; expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to meet deadlines; strong commitment to continued learning; impeccable attention to detail; ability to take leadership in projects.
