Job title: Senior Manager, Accounting and Reporting Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer Department: Finance Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Accounting and Reporting to lead our accounting close and financial reporting functions. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, proven leadership capabilities, and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Ensure timely preparation of internal and external financial statements. Coordinate and review consolidations and intercompany eliminations. Maintain financial reporting calendars and ensure deadlines are met. Technical Accounting Research and implement new accounting standards. Prepare technical accounting memos and whitepapers. Advise on complex transactions (e.g., acquisitions, equity, debt). Audit & Compliance Act as primary liaison with external auditors and manage annual audit process. Maintain and improve internal controls in compliance with SOX (if applicable). Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., SEC filings). Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Provide coaching, performance reviews, and career development plans. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Systems & Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes through automation. Partner with IT on ERP upgrades or system integrations. Drive efficiency in close and reporting cycles. Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA required; Master’s in Accounting or MBA preferred. Experience 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including: 3–5+ years in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred). 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Strong understanding of IFRS and technical accounting. Skills Proficiency in ERP systems (Business Central). Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Hyperion) a plus. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As this position requires daily interactions with ONLY English-speaking colleagues and clients, it requires understanding, influencing, and supporting them by applying technical knowledge or rational arguments aimed at provoking action or acceptance, you must be fluent in English (orally and in writing). French language is an advantage.
