We are seeking an experienced
Tax Manager
for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in
Hamilton, Ontario
, with flexibility to work from
Burlington or St. Catharines
. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional ready to move into a more advisory-focused position while leading a strong team and working closely with senior leadership.

The selected candidate will manage a team of
8
, oversee complex tax files, and support a diverse client portfolio including individuals, corporations, trusts, estates, and partnerships. This position offers significant exposure to high-level tax planning, corporate reorganizations, and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals.
  • Review and prepare individual, corporate, trust, estate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and advisory solutions to clients.
  • Participate in client meetings and represent the firm in high-value tax discussions.
  • Manage CRA and provincial tax authority correspondence and queries.
  • Support M&A tax advisory, succession planning, and corporate reorganizations.
  • Ensure technical excellence and quality control across all assigned tax engagements.

Mandatory Requirements

  • CPA designation (CPA, CA).
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, including at least 2 years in tax.
  • Enrolled in or willing to complete the
    CPA In-Depth Tax Program
    or
    MTax
    .
  • Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing tax staff and delegating work.
  • Hands-on experience with tax planning, foreign reporting, reorganizations, and compliance.

Compensation & Work Setup

  • Salary:
    $100,000 – $120,000 CAD
  • Bonus:
    Performance-based
