We are seeking an experienced
Tax Manager
for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in
Hamilton, Ontario
, with flexibility to work from
Burlington or St. Catharines
. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional ready to move into a more advisory-focused position while leading a strong team and working closely with senior leadership.
The selected candidate will manage a team of

, oversee complex tax files, and support a diverse client portfolio including individuals, corporations, trusts, estates, and partnerships. This position offers significant exposure to high-level tax planning, corporate reorganizations, and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals.
- Review and prepare individual, corporate, trust, estate, and partnership tax returns.
- Provide proactive tax planning and advisory solutions to clients.
- Participate in client meetings and represent the firm in high-value tax discussions.
- Manage CRA and provincial tax authority correspondence and queries.
- Support M&A tax advisory, succession planning, and corporate reorganizations.
- Ensure technical excellence and quality control across all assigned tax engagements.
Mandatory Requirements
- CPA designation (CPA, CA).
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, including at least 2 years in tax.
- Enrolled in or willing to complete the
CPA In-Depth Tax Program
or
MTax
. - Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Experience managing tax staff and delegating work.
- Hands-on experience with tax planning, foreign reporting, reorganizations, and compliance.
Compensation & Work Setup
